Book of the Rite
Liturgy of Night · Temple of Night
A practical liturgy for those who want their practice to do something.
The Book of the Rite is the working manual of the Temple of Night. It is a compact, usable guide to ritual built around Nyx, the Veiled Mother, the Night who bore the Day. The book gives the practitioner a clear way to meet a specific problem with a specific working.
Inside:
- The Invocation of Night. A spoken invocation to open each working with presence.
- The Revelation of the Rite. A step-by-step method: choose the face that fits your problem (for example, perception, story, or decision), then follow the Five: Intention, Symbolization, Ritualization, Integration, and Reflection.
- The Sealing of Night. Spoken once, to close the rite.
- The Rules of Praxis. Two guiding principles, Agency and Transformation, so that no rite hardens into habit once it has stopped serving you.
There are no props required and no spirits to appease. Each working asks for one clear sentence of intent, one simple symbol, one spoken rite, and one real action in the world, because, as the book says, a working without an act is only a mood. Every rite ends in the grimoire, where you record what changed.
For practitioners of the Temple of Night and for newcomers alike, the Book of the Rite is the point where the philosophy of the Liber Noctis becomes practice.
